It does sound intriguing, doesn't it? I'm ordering a copy to add to my tottering to-be-read pile. How amazing to have visited that Fitzgerald home!Linda Newberyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03378908274663919794noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3658474694942339787.post-46448953926448711382017-01-16T15:54:48.088+00:002017-01-16T15:54:48.088+00:00Fabulous rather than fatuous - exactly how I like ...Fabulous rather than fatuous - exactly how I like my reviews! I've always been ...Thanks for the review Linda. I've always been fascinated by the Fitzgeralds so look forward to reading this as it covers some of the bleaker moments. I read Nancy Milford's 'Zelda' years and years ago. And about 20 years ago sat on the terrace of the art deco Hôtel Belles Rives which was the Fitzgerald home in 1925 in Juan-les-Pins and watched a full moon come up over the sea. What heady lives they led... epitomised by Robert Redford throwing all those shirts up into the air in The Great Gatsby... far removed from bending the knee to Goldwyn and Meyer. So this book sounds as if it will reveal the darker side. Thanks for putting it up. Dianne Hofmeyrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18222157214605257030noreply@blogger.com
