AS it turns out, I don't think I've ever read a book where I've had so much sympathy with both the five star and one star reviews. I'm very glad indeed I read the book, but am not sure if I'd recommend it to many people I know. One difficulty for me was that it plays with the divide between fiction and non-fiction. Brilliant? Yes. Fascinating? Yes. Moving? Probably. Boring? A bit, sometimes. Easy? No, not at all!
